Department of Health Inaugurates a Renovated Health Clinic

In line with providing quality healthcare across Tibetan settlements in India, the Department of Health, CTA is now serving patients in Doegu-Yulgyeling Tibetan settlement in Herbertpur with its newly renovated health clinic. The inauguration of the new facility was officiated by Kalon Karma Yeshi, Department of Finance and Kalon Choekyong Wangchuk, Department of Health on 8 February. Settlement Officer Tsewang Phuntsok, in his welcome remarks, presented a detailed report of the newly completed project. Chief guest Kalon Karma Yeshi said ensuring firm and robust health of our community is vital to sustain the Tibetan movement. He further asserted Kashag’s steadfast commitment to improve public health and raise awareness on disease prevention in the exile Tibetan community. Both the Kalons also visited the Settlement Office and the local Freedom Movement Office.

Doegu Yougyaling Tibetan settlement is situated in the state of Uttaranchal. It is at the distance of 32 Km from  Dehradun City. The settlement is divided into three villages, Lakhanwala, Prethapur and Bhaluwala.
