Class X Overall Pass Percentage touches highest in three years

Dharamshala: The overall pass percentage of Tibetan schools in this year’s Class 10 CBSE exams has recorded 91%. A significant improvement from last year’s 87.47 and the highest score recorded in the last three years.

Out of 1236 Tibetan students who appeared in the AISSE held in March this year, 1141 students have passed, 89 students have been placed in compartment category and 6 students did not clear the exam. The average percentage is 61.45%.

This year too the girls outperformed the boys with an average pass percentage of 93% against boys’ 88%.

However, both performed exceptionally better in comparison to last year’s average percentage of 89.91% (girls) and 84.71% (boys).

The number of students scoring 90% and above have also improved from 16 last year to 22 this year.

Congratulating the students and teachers, the Department of Education, CTA said, “We congratulate all the students who succeeded in the exam and their teachers for the efforts they have put in. We would also like to encourage our students who will re-appear for the compartment exams in July to not lose hope and prepare even better.”
