Tibetan Supreme Justice Commission organises 9th Tibetan Legal Training

Dharamshala: The Tibetan Supreme Justice Commission is organising the 9th Tibetan Legal Training from 25 November to 5 December for 22 Tibetan legal professionals, CTA civil servants and staff of the Tibetan Supreme Justice Commission here in Dharamshala.

The ten-day training was inaugurated here at the Tibetan Administrative and Training Centre by the Chief Justice Commissioner Mr Sonam Norbu Dagpo and Justice Commissioners Dr Nawang Rabgyal and Karma Damdul.

The Chief Justice Commissioner spoke about the evolution of Tibetan democracy in exile and introduced the functions of the Tibetan Supreme Justice Commission and its subordinate Justice Commissions.

The training agenda over the course of ten days will include indepth discussions on Tibetan Charter in Exile, The Code of Judiciary, Civil Procedure Codes and Rules of Evidence books.

The resource persons are the Chief Justice Commissioner Mr Sonam Norbu Dagpo, Justice Commissioners, former Chief Justice Commissioner Phunrab Lobsang Dhargyal, Secretary-General Tashi Gyatso Shadrong, local Justice Commissioner Lhaduk and Under Secretary Rinchen Sangmo of Tibetan Supreme Justice Commission.
