CTA’s Tibetan Entrepreneurship Development (TED) initiative is collaborating with its Tibetan Children’s Village (TCV), Bylakuppe to make the latter the first Tibetan school to teach entrepreneurship as a subject. Thanks to USAID funding the class XI and XII students will have the opportunity to enroll in this class as an optional 6th subject during the 2018-2019 school year. After the program has concluded its first year, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will evaluate and examine the effectiveness of TED’s program.
The TED initiative is dedicated to raising awareness on entrepreneurship to Tibetan students and the Tibetan community. TED does so by providing many resources for Tibetans to start their own enterprises such as mentoring and advising, business plan competitions, conferences and networking opportunities, legal support, and business plan development guidance.
