To enhance institutional effectiveness and ensure efficient service delivery, the Central Tibetan Administration (CTA) has implemented a series of targeted training programs aimed at strengthening the capacity of its public servants. These initiatives focus on professional development in administrative functions, communication, auditing, and compliance, thereby fostering a more competent, confident, and responsive workforce.
Key Activities (2024-2025)
CTA’s Internal Auditor Training
16 newly recruited auditors were trained on CTA’s audit protocols, Tally software, and compliance practices, improving their ability to conduct thorough audits and support sound financial governance.
Enhancing Administrative Capacity of CTA Clerical Staff
The program aimed to strengthen the communication skills and administrative effectiveness of clerical staff within the Central Tibetan Administration (CTA). Conducted by faculty from OP Jindal University, the training covered essential topics such as effective communication, modern management practices, emotional intelligence, and personal development.
By addressing key skill gaps, the program helped improve staff confidence, morale, and workplace performance. The initiative contributed to a more capable and motivated workforce, better equipped to support efficient and responsive governance. A total of 16 CTA staff members successfully completed the training.
Capacity Building for PSC Staff on Needs Assessment
This training equipped Public Service Commission staff with the skills to identify organizational training needs, design relevant capacity-building plans, and assess impact. 8 staff members were trained to align workforce development with CTA’s strategic goals.
Communication and Office Etiquette Training
The workshop focused on enhancing key soft skills such as interpersonal communication, time management, and conflict resolution among CTA staff. These competencies are essential for maintaining a collaborative and productive work environment, especially in roles that require frequent public engagement.
By investing in personal development alongside professional performance, the program not only improved the confidence and efficiency of the 19 participating staff members but also contributed to more responsive, empathetic, and effective public service delivery across departments.
Project Officers Training
The Project Officers Training Program focused on strengthening essential skills in project planning, execution, monitoring, and evaluation. It aimed to build leadership, communication, and strategic thinking abilities among Project Officers to enhance coordination and stakeholder engagement.
By standardizing project management practices and tools, the program promoted greater accountability and improved the overall efficiency and effectiveness of project delivery across departments.
