DHARAMSHALA: The 41st Governing Body Meeting of the Social and Resource Development Fund (SARD) was convened at the Department of Finance Conference Hall, Gangchen Kyishong, on 25th February 2026. Chaired by Sikyong Penpa Tsering, the meeting commenced at 11:00 a.m.

The session focused heavily on financial health and regulatory compliance, with members reviewing the successful resolution of an Income Tax notice and analyzing results from a recent FCRA audit. During this review, the Chairman emphasized the necessity of proactive management to prevent future administrative queries.

The meeting also marked a period of growth and strategic planning for the organization. The board unanimously approved Kanton Zuerich as a new official donor and held detailed discussions on how to secure newly approved U.S. government funding for Tibet. By confirming previous minutes and assessing the Action Taken Report, the body ensured that SARD’s operations remain aligned with its long-term developmental goals.

The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks from the Member Secretary.
