The Young Tibetan Research Scholars’ Conference, organized by the Tibet Policy Institute (TPI) under CTA’s Capacity Building and Sustainability Initiative (CBSI), provided a crucial academic platform for emerging Tibetan scholars. Hosted at the Central Institute of Higher Tibetan Studies (CIHTS) in Varanasi from November 9–11, 2024, the event fostered scholarly engagement, elevated research standards, and promoted academic collaboration.
Impact (2022 - 2024)
The conference strengthened Tibetan academic discourse by engaging 27 young scholars in insightful panel discussions and interactive sessions. It fostered knowledge-sharing, encouraged critical thinking, and laid the groundwork for future research publications, contributing meaningfully to the development of Tibetan scholarship.
