CTA Postpones Five-Fifty Forum: Global Summit of International Tibetan Associations

March 5, 2020: The CTA leadership and organizers of the April 2-4 Global Summit of International Tibetan Associations in Dharamsala has made the difficult decision to postpone the Summit due to the public health emergency posed by the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak. CTA took into account the deteriorating public health situation and concluded that it would not be prudent to proceed with the Summit for now. This decision was made for the safety and well-being of the participants and members of our community.
The Summit, the first such gathering of its kind, was being convened to discuss some core issues related to preserving the Tibetan culture, sustaining the Tibetan freedom struggle, strengthening the Tibetan Associations/Organizations, and strengthening the CTA’s ties with the Tibetan communities residing outside South Asia. CTA plans to reschedule the Summit at a later date.
The CTA thanks the funder and all the participants for their support and understanding.
